Shriners Hospitals for Children provides free orthopaedic, spinal cord injury and burn injury care to children in need. Since opening in 1922, more than 735,000 children have been helped through our hospitals. Care is provided within a compassionate and family-centered environment without cost to the family, and without regard to race, color, creed, sex or sect. Shriners Hospitals for Children is funded entirely through the generosity of our donors, past and present. All care and services are provided without charge to he patient and family, and no payments are sought or received from any insurance company or US government agency. Admission to the a Shriners Hospital is based solely on medical and financial need.
